10 Footballers who passed out in the Field And Died Bolton Wanderers player, Fabrice Muamba fainted when playing against Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup quarter-final match at White Hart Lane on Sunday (18/03/2012) pm. Muamba fell unconscious in 42 minutes. Fabrice Muamba was rushed to the hospital. The match was stopped by referee Howard Webb. The following is a list of football players who died while playing: 1.
